Hike mountains older than the Rockies and higher than any place east of them. Stare at a bear, outsmart a trout, wade a mountain stream. Climb on a dinosaur, explore a cave, visit a wooly mammoth, ride an old steam train. Splash under a waterfall, come back to climb it with ice axes. Ski a black diamond or mount one in Black Hills Gold. Bike a single track or hike a thousand trails. Enjoy a good day on the Badlands, in a cave, and underground mine, a watchtower over the hills. Join a buffalo roundup, a cowboy hoedown. Attend a Banff Film Festival, pedal a fat-tire festival, run a marathon, dive into (and in) a high mountain lake, experience a motorcycle rally. See United States presidents resting on Mount Rushmore, or standing on street corners. Participate in the United States' greatest July 4th celebration. Visit George Custer's Fort Meade where the Star Spangled Banner first played as an official patriotic song. See Crazy Horse the world's largest sculpture, immerse yourself in traditional Native American culture, even take some home. Dance with wolves, march with platoons of wild turkey, photograph a wild donkey. Whisper at a wild horse, howl with coyotes, outfox a wolf. Discover where the buffalo roam, the deer and the antelope play, where newborn colts horse around and where cowboys are real. Row a kayak boat, chase a mountain goat. Spy with eagles, hunt with hawks, go on nature walks.
